James and Christian, our talented South Island presenters, have hit the “big time” and are now world famous in Greymouth. While the guys were presenting in the West Coast they made a music video. The song is titled “Greymouth Party Song” and you’ll find it on our Facebook page or here on Youtube. Their lyrics detail all of the schools that they’ve visited in the region and showcases Greymouth scenery. This crack-up video has had just under 3,000 views and the guys have been interviewed by the local Greymouth Newspaper. Look out for the now infamous James and Christian in your area next year, and keep checking our website or our Facebook page for more of their brilliant songs.
Club Physical
The team from Club Physical have offered Attitude an awesome opportunity. They have provided our presenters with free 6 week gym memberships to give away to all the Auckland Schools we visit in June and July. Along with free 6 week memberships they have donated t-shirts to give out and are offering a promotion available to all Auckland high school students. Club Physical will wave their joining fee and provide you with 11 days for only $11 when you sign up for a gym membership. There are two great things about this promotion; not only are Club Physical providing you with a cheaper opportunity to buff up but every $11 paid to this promotion will go directly to us, Attitude.
While having a break from presenting, the Attitude team travelled to the offices of Youthline. We’ve been working with the awesome Youthline team for the past three years and love to keep up to date with their staff and operations. Nao, the amazing Information and Projects manager, and Julian, the triage advice doctor, showed us around the offices and guided us through the many services Youthline offer. We saw their school, the phone booths where calls are answered and the computer system that receives and sends texts. We were even treated to muffins and a fruit platter!
These guys are experts in providing advice and resources if you’re struggling with something. If you want to get in touch with them, if you have any questions or need someone to talk to give them a call on 0800 376 633 or text them for free on 234! Because they are so awesome sometimes they get busy and can’t get back to you straight away but they promise that they will reply!

Thinking of you Christchurch...
Everyone in New Zealand is thinking of those in Christchurch touched by Tuesday’s shocking earthquake.
Thankfully we are a generous country and there are awesome organisations aiding those affected. If you’re a Vodafone customer you can donate by texting ‘QUAKE’ to 555 to give a $5 donation or text ‘QUAKE’ to 333 to give a $3 donation, you can donate as many times as you like. You can also donate online by visiting www.redcross.org.nz.
Attitude is very fortunate that our two star presenters based in Christchurch are safe, their car however was not so lucky. The building they work in was damaged however this won’t be stopping them travelling around and inspiring you all.
It‘s at a tough times like this that everyone needs to keep talking about their feelings and asking for help if you’re in a sad space.

Connected provokes young people to think critically about the benefits and dangers of these mediums so they can survive and thrive in the ‘connected’ world. Key topics include social networking, bullying, pornography, sexting, relationships and keeping one’s internet and cell phone use in balance with the rest of life. Through this engaging booklet young people are encouraged to be people of character both online and offline.
Ever wondered what people you see on TV think about life? Attitude Vids shows people like Ido Drent from Shortland Street, Dave Gibson from Elemeno P, television presenter Petra Bagust and Mike Puru from The Edge Morning Crew talking about some of the difficult stuff they’ve been through in their lives, and how they got through it. New Hardwired handbook
New Hardwired handbook Release
The Attitude team worked hard throughout 2009 to bring to you the new and updated version of the Hardwired handbook in 2010. ALAC ‘s partnership in this project allowed us to give out free booklets to a number of high schools around the country. Titled as ‘A handbook for growing, inhaling and injecting life’, this booklet is full of helpful and insightful information about addictions, drugs and alcohol, and why people might get caught up in these things. A new addition to the book is the ‘Brain Theft Auto’ section, which compares the world of drug use to the world of video games. It’s a game all drug users start playing after their first hit. With different, difficult and risky levels, it takes you through the life of a drug addict... You be the judge if you want to play. Look out for Hardwired this year in your health class.

Waikato Attitude Week
We recently have been down in the Waikato. Saw the sights, ate some food, and did 39 presentations at 14 Secondary schools.
GO the Chiefs!!
Wellington Attitude Week
We had a great time in Wellington, delivering over 40 presentations. The 120 Km winds made it an intersting stay on the water front, but didn't stop us from enjoying the city. Zane tried his hand at wrestling but only got as far as trying on a mask. (See above).
A big thanks to the Copthorne who support us by giving a great rate to stay on the waterfront at Oriental Bay. It is the perfect place to come back and chill out after a long day presenting.
New Attitude text tips to your mobile

Alcohol is one of the biggest contributing factors to New Zealand's road toll, causing on average 99 fatal crashes, 409 serious injuries, and 1128 minor injuries every year.
In light of this, the government is considering lowering the blood alcohol levels for drivers. If you are under 20 years of age, this new law will make it illegal for you to drive with any alcohol in your system regardless of license status. These changes are expected to save around 15 lives a year.
Be aware that this new law change could be coming soon.
