What do you do for attitude: Attitude Presenter
Background: I’m Samoan, born and raised in East Auckland. In my Dad’s family I’m the eldest grandchild of nine cousins; they’re really my little brothers and sisters. When I finished high school my Granddad said: ‘Charlie you should consider studying at university’... but he’s Samoan and fresh off the boat so he said it like this: ‘Sole...Fill your brain’. And so with his wise words echoing deep down in my heart, I studied Politics at Auckland Uni. I have a dog called King - an ex-police dog. He’s the man. While I was at Uni I worked as a life guard. Got real good at scooping poo out of the pool and rescuing old people who got cramp. Working for Attitude is way better!
Things I like: Thai food, road trips, new kicks, playing jazz guitar, my mates & family.
Things I don’t like: chilli stuff, being late, whenever there is something on my face and no one tells me.
Most embarrassing story: When I was 14 my cousin and I snuck out to a party in the neighbourhood. That night my Dad, a cop, was working and was called out to the address. He caught us and arrested us both. I’m 23 now and I’ve been grounded ever since.
