The Parenting Place, established in 1993, is an experienced provider of parent education throughout New Zealand. We provide programmes in every corner of the country, within different cultures, in prisons, in schools, and in conjunction with many social service agencies. We aim to ensure our programmes are easily accessible, relevant and affordable with measurable outcomes.
National Young Leaders Days are the largest and longest running leadership event for primary, intermediate and secondary school students. The days aim to develop student leadership and empower young people with the skills to lead themselves and others well. Since 2001 over 110,000 students have been empowered to fulfil their dreams and become great leaders at a National Young Leaders Day in New Zealand.
Toolbox parenting groups equip parents with strategies to overcome the challenges of family life and make parenting rewarding and fun. Courses are facilitated over six weeks by trained, local volunteers, in a relaxed environment. Toolbox courses are sometimes offered in schools as a way of creating a sense of community amongst parents and letting them know their role is valued and appreciated. Get in touch with your local Toolbox coordinator if you are interested in the Toolbox parenting programme for your school community.
