Parenting Place’s dream is for Aotearoa New Zealand to be a place where every whānau thrives and every child feels deeply loved. This dream is outworked as we meet families where they are, restoring, strengthening, and building flourishing relationships through a range of programmes, courses and resources.
These include Space for you and your baby, Toolbox parenting courses, Building Awesome Whānau, Attitude programmes for schools, Family Coaching, marriage and relationship retreats, camps, nationwide events, and inspiring online content.
National Young Leaders Days are the largest and longest running leadership event for primary and intermediate students. The days aim to develop student leadership and empower young people with the skills to lead themselves and others well. Since 2001 over 110,000 students have been empowered to fulfil their dreams and become great leaders at a National Young Leaders Day in New Zealand.
Toolbox parenting courses equip parents with strategies to overcome the challenges of family life and make parenting rewarding and fun. Courses are facilitated over six weeks by trained, local volunteers, in a relaxed environment. Toolbox courses are sometimes offered in schools as a way of creating a sense of community amongst parents and letting them know their role is valued and appreciated. Get in touch with your local Toolbox coordinator if you are interested in the Toolbox parenting programme for your school community.
